How to wear thigh boots

This coming winter thigh boots will be one of the ‘in’ items to have in your wardrobe if you want to be up to date and also if you want to keep your legs nice and warm on those really icy days.

The best way to wear them, if your figure allows you to, is with a mini skirt because that is the way they will be seen and favourably shown off and if you wear them like this try and wear a belt that matches the colour of your boots tied round your hips, and if it is one of those wide chunky belts with a large buckle that ties round you twice then that will be all the better.

The other way you can wear it is with a longer skirt but one that has a slit in it either at the back, the side or preferably the front, that way the boots will be seen at least when you sit down.

When these boots were in fashion back in the 70’s they used to be worn, along with the mini skirt, with what they called ‘hot pants’ which were shorts but with quite a decent length.  ‘Hot pants’ usually had a matching jacket to go with them and a popular style was the typical khaki coloured safari jacket with a belt at the waist.

One of the best choices is for a thigh boot made out of suede because being almost like a thick material it clings to your leg much better and doesn’t keep on sliding down your leg like some boots do.

The colours can be various but burgundy, chocolate brown, black, bottle green, tan and rust are good choices that blend in with a lot of colours of the clothes that you could be wearing this winter.
